AVOID DANGEROUS BATTERY FIRES
Thermal runaway is one of the primary risks related to lithium-ion batteries. It is a phenomenon in which the cell enters an uncontrollable, self-heating state. It can be caused by shock, heat, over charging and degrading batteries.
This can result in ejection of gas, shrapnel and/or particulates (violent cell venting), extremely high temperatures, highly toxic smoke and fire.
Introducing LifeSafe Thermal Management Fluid (TMF) - our ground-breaking, patent-pending coolant solution that prevents the deadly threat of thermal runaway by significantly reducing the transfer of heat within a battery pack. The TMF is non-toxic, non-hazardous and importantly non-corrosive, a significant leap forward in the efforts to better control battery fires and overheating in a safe and more sustainable way.
The use of lithium-ion batteries is not a new phenomenon, however, their use has increased rapidly in recent years, most notably in the technology and transport sectors in such products as phones, laptops, cordless tools, electric cars, e-scooters and e-bikes. They will soon also be used more frequently in the home as power storage systems.
With an increasing number of devices and industries around the world utilising the power and efficiency of lithium batteries, there is a need for a new approach to controlling and managing the heat build-up within a battery.
